It just might have been our best trip yet...

time at Nini's, time with Danny and Fabe, a special Welcome party for Tanner, a day with cousins at the Boardwalk,  a few nights at a high rise in the city and catching up with old friends, a date overnight for Stef and I to watch one of my oldest friends tie the knot while Lance and KK had the time of their lives at the Matthews (yes, they cried when we came to get them), lots of new baby cousin love, and Kiran's second birthday.

And it shouldn't go without saying that the pilot of the plane on our way home let Lance hop into the cockpit and drive...

it's been a busy, fun, and eventful summer with lots to share.

Happy Birthday Tanner James Wiley!

He's here!
Lesley and Jeff welcomed little Tanner James on Friday evening, May 3, weighing in at a healthy 6lbs, 15oz.  He was greeted by nearly fifteen family members at the hospital, plus the Harmelings live from Hilo on facetime.  We all "ooooo'd" and "aaaaaa'd"  through the windows as the proud daddy performed his first parenting tasks with ease, despite the crowd stacked three deep...

The pregnancy and birth went perfectly, and I think it goes without saying that Les couldn't be happier.  It's pretty hard to describe how proud I am of my sis- she is truly one of the bravest, most positive, and faithful people I know.  Tanner chose himself some extra special parents.  And I'm pretty sure he has a special angel who has been taking excellent care of him thus far...

We had a little birthday party for Tanner at our place on Friday night.  Lance and Kiran are thrilled about their new cousin's arrival.  Welcome Tanner! We can't wait to get our hands on you!!!

Morning Song

We don't sing it every morning by any means, but ever since Lance was born, our morning song has been "Zipadeedodah."  A McLaughlin family favorite.  Here's a video of the boys practicing before performing for Daddy as they sent him off to work for the day... hilarious!
