Getting Dressed

Putting his clothes on all by himself is something Lance doesn't get the chance to do as often as he should.  It seems like we are always rushing to get somewhere (out and about or to bed) and he dawdles or gets interested in something else and then suddenly there I am again, dressing my little guy even though I know he can do it!!

Anyway, tonight I motivated him by pointing out that Max (his biggest cousin) puts HIS clothes on ALL by HIMself, every day!!!!!!!  wow.  It totally worked.  Lance got to work and talked about how Max is SO big that he can even pick Lance up....

The punchline came when Lance looked up at me with his jammies all in place (put on all by himself) and exclaimed "Maybe now I can pick Max up all by myself!!!"

ha!

good thing Max wasn't here for Lance to give it a try and have his little spirit crushed!
