Yesterday was a big day for Lance. It was his graduation from a mommy and me program that Lance and I have been going to since he was just six weeks old! Needless to say, we are so so sad that our time at Hi'ilani is up. We have watched the other keiki in the program grow up over the years and have developed special relationships with the class teachers. It has been a chance for Lance to play his heart out with amazing toys in the most kid friendly environment in Hilo. All with yours truly right by his side, not distracted by dishes or phone calls. Our time at Hi'ilani has been special for both of us.
The next step is, of course, preschool and Lance could not be more excited. Everytime we pass a school (be it Hilo High School or UH Hilo) Lance asks me if "that is where Lance is going to preschool, Mommy?!" Oy vey... it's definitely going by way way way too fast.
We will miss the camaraderie, support, fun, and amazing advice we have gotten over the past two plus years from our friends at Hi'ilani. Thank you!
