Papa and Grandma Kathie made their annual trip to Hilo in March with a special visitor in tow... Auntie Jane! What a treat us to share a whole week with our loved family!Papa arrived with one of the most special gifts Lance has ever received. A handmade airplane complete with photos of his family as passengers and Lance as the pilot! Papa's care, creativity, and attention to detail on this project pretty much sum up his qualities as a grandfather. It is always a joy to watch his relationship with Lance grow. He also had the chance to meet Kiran and get to know our smiley little guy.
Grandma Kathie and Lance fell right into their favorite routine of reading books and even enjoyed a special outing to the library together!The boys and I were able to meet a much loved Harmeling- Auntie Jane. She came full of interest, love, and joy for our family and the Big Island. We all fell in love with her immediately and hope she will make it back one day!
Papa and Grandma Kathie's annual visits usually fall on Lance's half birthday, and being a big birthday person, we naturally had to celebrate! Happy two and a half Lance!
Of course we spent a gorgeous day at Beach 69s... lots of adults with the two boys meant we all got time to swim, talk, and relax in the sun.
